Google Is Removing ‘OK Google’ Voice Search From Chromebook; Report

Deep under settings, Chrome OS does have ‘OK Google’ to prompt the verbal Google search. There have been several rumors of Google deprecating that feature in the upcoming version of Chrome OS.

According to a report from Chrome Unboxed, Google is actually killing the voice search command ‘OK Google’ in the froth coming version of Chrome OS. In addition to that, there is also a speculation that Google is working on another digital assistant for its desktop operating system.

Escalating this, there is a rumored “Chromebook Eve” model which could come with a dedicated Assistant key. Removing voice search functionality would free up the phrase for activating Assistant on a future version of Chrome OS.
