Google Assistant Started Rolling Out To Marshmallow & Nougat; Eligibility?

Google earlier promised to bring Google Assistant to non-pixel devices. Well, it started with LG G6, yes, LG G6 is the first smartphone to come with Google Assistant inbuilt.




Well, Google started rolling out the Google Assistant to more Android smartphones. It is known available for smartphones running Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Google Assistant, Eligibility?

There is a catch in this rollout. The roll out is going to all region but at once. And coming to eligibility, Google has specified some eligibility for the smartphones getting the Virtual Assistant feature i.e your smartphone must have at least 1.5GB of RAM and a 720p resolution display.

The rollout is only for English language users in the US, which will be followed by rollouts Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Google also said to add more languages over the coming year, in the meantime users in Germany will be getting their own language as an update. Rest all is same, to get started, you just need to touch and hold the Home button. Users will be able to access the Google Assistant just by saying “Ok Google”.
