T-Mobile Will Reportedly Sell OnePlus 6T, Marking OnePlus’ First US Carrier Deal

OnePlus 6T is quite a long way to go, but the Chinese smartphone company’s next flagship comes with mighty change: a deal with T-Mobile would make it the first major US carrier to offer one of OnePlus’ devices.

OnePlus 6T’s Break To T-Mobile

Earlier on this year OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau, mentioned the company’s plans for offering smartphone through the US carriers. Well, OnePlus already has some carrier partnerships in Europe, but T-Mobile would be the first major carrier to offer one in the states.

In the past, OnePlus has sold all of its devices int he US unlocked and directly to the customers. With this tie-up, the less-than-well-known company will get a better chance to get its phone out to the customers who haven’t heard of it before.

Furthermore, the T-Mobile version of OnePlus 6T is said to be optimized specifically for T-Mobile’s network, which also includes support for the 600MHz band of spectrum that the carrier acquired last year.

Aside from the anticipation, According to CNET, OnePlus is still in the middle of the “technically approval” process with T-Mobile, which means the deal is not finalized yet, but if it does, it could be a major step forward for OnePlus’s attempts to break into the mainstream US market.

Well, OnePlus 6T will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC (of course) with 8GB of RAM. The display size of the smartphone might change with the change in the notch size, pretty much like the OPPO R17 or OPPO F9. Some of the reports/speculations say that the price of the smartphone will be somewhere near US$550, let’s keep that as a mystery.
