Samsung has also revolutionized smartphone’s camera industry by introducing a physical camera lens which has a wider f/1.5 aperture. So here’s a detailed comparison of how Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ offer more than 4 months old, iPhone X.
Display And Design
Samsung has never compromised with its display quality with its flagship smartphones. So as to continue the streak Samsung is offering a 5.8-inch display on the Galaxy S9 and a 6.2-inch display on the Galaxy S9+. Samsung offers a bezel-less display with a minimum amount of bezels at the top and bottom.
Samsung has also aligned the fingerprint sensor just below the camera setup making it more reachable. On the other hand, iPhone X offers a 5.9-inch display with an annoying notch that disrupts design consistency. Apple also decided to completely kill the touch ID and introduce a slower face-id, which needs a finger to slide unlock the device.
Processing Power
Samsung is offering Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor (2.8GHz + 1.7GHz), or octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810 (2.7 GHz + 1.7 GHz) both these variants are way more powerful and efficient than the A11 bionic chipset (at least according to the benchmark scores).
It is worth noting, that on paper Samsung offers a powerful processor but due to Apple’s hardware integration with iOS we never face major issues. Though Galaxy S9 and S9 plus won’t disappoint with it’s more powerful processing capabilities or we can hope for that.

Camera
Samsung has done an exceptionally great job in the camera department. The S9 Plus offers two cameras: a wide-angle, and a telephoto and both these sensors capture at 12 megapixels. The cameras are aligned in a vertical setup.
Well. for the first time ever, a smartphone with a physical lens and a wider f/1.5 aperture is introduced by Samsung. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ can very easily outperform any smartphone in low-light performance. While the iPhone X’s 12-megapixel dual-camera setup looks very immature, although it performs really well.
Storage
Samsung offers 64GB, 128GB, 256GB expandable storage variants coupled with either 4GB RAM on the Galaxy S9 and 6GB RAM on the Galaxy S9+. Both the smartphones offer storage expansion of up to 400GB via microSD card.
While on the other side, Apple’s iPhone X is available in 64GB, 256GB storage variants with no option to expand the storage. You have to rely on Apple’s Cloud-based storage for further expansion storage, which of course cost money.

Security
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ offer more enhanced and personalized security options. Samsung has tried to make accessing the phone as easy and secure as possible. The smartphone is protected by iris and face scanner coupled with a lightning fast fingerprint sensor below the camera setup.
Samsung has also improved its homegrown KNOX security features. We are not denying, Apple has also worked hard on its Face ID but the major issue with Face ID is its slow response, which seems like killing the Touch ID was a bad idea.
