WhatsApp Verified Business Accounts Will Soon Be Available

WhatsApp Verified Business Accounts was rumored from past few months. Well, WhatsApp has now confirmed via FAQ section that it will soon have a verified account with green ticks for businesses similar to Facebook and Twitter.

With the latest update of WhatsApp version 2.17.285 of the Android beta app brings support for verified business accounts. With this update, businesses will get a green tick next to their contact name.

In addition to that, the update lets businesses set working hours. If you call a business account and they are not available, you will get an ‘away’ message.

WhatsApp Businesses can also manage their automatic messages and customers can block also businesses which they do not want to be contacted by. Well, WhatsApp’s FAQ section describes it all and it also mentioned that when you start talking to a business via yellow message inside a chat, there is no way to delete these messages from the chat.

Xiaomi Global Launch In India On September 5; Xiaomi Mi 5X

Xiaomi Global Launch is around the corner and the company has teased the launch of a Mi series smartphone to launch on September 5. As the teaser mentioned that the launch will be of a dual camera smartphone; it could be Xiaomi Mi 6 or Xiaomi Mi 5X or both.

Xiaomi Global Launch In India

It is still unclear, what Xiaomi is going to showcase, but our bet will on Xiaomi Mi 5X, which has been launched in China, at an event. Although, there one more possibility i.e heavily-anticipated Mi Mix 2 smartphone as well. We might see the launch of a completely new flagship at the September 5 event.

In the Xiaomi Global Launch event teaser tweet, Xiaomi has used hashtags #FlagshipDualCamera and #XiaomiGlobalLaunch apart from mentioning Septemeber 5 as the launch date. In addition to that, Xiaomi India’s Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain announced that the company will be launching its first dual-camera phone in India in September.


Further, the teaser image also shared alongside the tweet, the company has suggested that one of the sensors in the dual camera setup will come with a larger aperture than the other, which forces us to believe that Xiaomi is launching Mi 5X. Either way, we will get to know in the coming days.

LG V30 To Feature A 32-Bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC With Digital Filters

LG V30 is all set to unveil and the company has announced that V30 will feature 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by ESS Technology’s SABRE ES9218P. This is not the first LG smartphone to feature this, LG V20 and G6 also featured a similar DAC.

LG V30 To Feature A 32-Bit Quad DAC

LG V30 will feature Hi-Fi Quad DAC with two new features: digital filters and sound preset. The original Hi-Fi Quad DAC indicated delivering Hi-Fi sound as close as possible to the original source by reducing distortion and white noise.

Down the lane, the HD Audio Recorder in the V30 can use the audio receiver of the phone simultaneously as a microphone. Basically, the RAM (Receiver-as-a-Mic or RAM) can record loud sounds clearly, so the LG V30 can record a wider dynamic range of sounds, from a whisper to a thunderstorm, without distortion.

Samsung Launches New Gear VR For Galaxy Note 8 For $130

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 8 and with that company has also unveiled a new Gear VR headset for Galaxy Note 8 that packs a massive 6.3-inch display. The new Gear VR is pretty much same as the older VR in terms of design, weight, and colors.

THe new Gear VR comes with a controller and much like any other VR, it packs in Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, and Proximity Sensor. Although the new VR looks, weighs and has similar colors to that of an older version, but, it has got a bigger slot to fit in the Note8.

Facebook App Now Let’s You Create 360 Photos And Set Them As Covers

The Facebook mobile app started rolling out an update that lets you create 360 photos and use them as cover photos. This is apparently the first major update to Facebook cover photos since they were introduced.

Facebook has adopted this format a long time, allowing its desktop users to share both photos and videos captured in 360 degrees. Users can create panoramas on the go, which was previously created photos by dedicated 360 cameras, Google Street View.

The social giant is making 360 photos as hassle-free as possible, making it a fun experience with guides and a little bit of help by the algorithm, which stitches everything up into a spherical image.

Users with the latest update will find a “360 Photo” button at the top of their news feed, which will lead you through the process of taking the required photos until they have complete panorama which can later be edited and shared with their friends and family.

As for taking 360-degree videos, users must have a dedicated piece of hardware that can capture the panoramic footage, which can be processed later.

LG Gaming Monitors With High Refresh Rate Is Set To Unveil At IFA 2017

LG gaming monitors are on the verge of getting announced at IFA 2017 in Berlin next week. LG is planning to bring in a 32-inch and a 27-ink GK monitors with high refresh rates of 144Hz, which can be overclocked (up to 165Hz) and 240Hz simultaneously.

LG 27-inch GK gaming monitor comes with a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms Motion Blur Reduction and AMD FreeSync technology. It also comes with Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action Sync, and Crosshair to apparently enhance accuracy in FPS games.

The monitor also has a Sphere Lighting, which creates soft ambiance lighting to increase immersive-ness of games and reduce eye fatigue during dark conditions.

The sequel to the YotaPhone 2 has been announced – YotaPhone 3. It is was introduced back in June at the China-Russia exhibition in Harbin, but it was formally introduced in China, today.

We have been hearing a lot about Samsung upcoming fitness tracker – Gear Fit 2 Pro. Well, a little ahead of the Unpacked event announcement, the Gear Fit 2 Pro was spotted on the company’s Malaysian website.

Thanks to Evan Blass (@evleaks), who spotted and showed us a glimpse of what it is called to be latest fitness tracker from Samsung. The Gear Fit 2 Pro is an upgraded version of the last year’s Gear Fit 2 (of course).

Gear Fit2 Pro 1Much like the Gear Fit 2, the upgraded version features water resistance at depths up to 50 meters, apparently making it a great choice for triathletes, swimmers and even for the people who like to shower with a smartwatch.

Apart from being stylish, it has got Samsung AMOLED display which might be a good entry point for athletes in the smartwatch market. This year’s variant will also allow you to install a few apps from Galaxy App Store and with a single charge, it will run for about 2-3 days.

Google Pixel 2 With Snapdragon 836 SoC To Be Announced On October 5

We have seen a long saga of leaks and renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 2. Well, the smartphone is all set to be unveiled on October 5, claims the popular tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) on twitter. There are have been several leaks there after.

The second-generation Google Pixel 2 will have certain changes and should be powered by a Snapdragon 836 processor, which hasn’t been announced yet, but will most likely to be a bit more powerful and efficient than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Coming down to specifications; the Pixel 2 will likely pack in a 5-inch display, whereas Pixel XL 2 will have a 6-inch display. The larger Pixel XL2 is speculated to employ a nearly bezel-less design, while the smaller handset should have pretty prominent bezels at the top and bottom of the screen, much like its predecessor.

Samsung just announced Galaxy Note8 at its New York event. Much like the older Galaxies, it has Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor as well as heart rate monitor. It is water resistant (obviously) up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes with IP68 ratings.
