Spotify For PC Is Now Available In The Widows Store

Microsoft has revealed last month that Spotify would be coming to Windows Store, well, it’s now available today. The music listening app has opted to convert its desktop app to a Windows Store one using Microsoft’s Centennial Desktop Bridge tool, which means that it isn’t a Universal Windows App i.e. it won’t run on Windows Mobile or the Xbox One console.

Spotify Is Available In The Windows Store

Spotify has already created mobile apps for Windows Phone in the past. Well, the app in the Windows Store is identical to the desktop app that is available online and probably the only change in this is that the app will now be updated through Windows Store.

The music listening app is arriving in the Windows Store apparently mean that Surface Laptop owners still running on Windows 10 S will be able to download and install the app (directly from the Store). Microsoft’s Windows 10 S variant will only support apps from the company’s Windows Store.
