Xbox One X; Everything You Need To Know About The Next Xbox

The upcoming Xbox was earlier codenamed Project Scorpio, but today Microsoft has officially revealed the details about the upcoming Xbox, dubbed as Xbox One X in a conference in Los Angeles. Well, this is the cover of the console’s specs, features, price and release date.

Xbox One X 2This has been in rumors for a while now. Although, it is more of a hardware refresh. But, according to Microsoft, the upcoming console is the smallest Microsoft has ever made, which apparently, will help to fit it into your existing multimedia set-up. The Xbox One X is priced at $499 and will be available starting from November 7.

Xbox One X Specifications

Microsoft’s updated console supports 4K gaming and VR, boasting a six-teraflop graphics processor and eight-core processor. A Microsoft-hosted Digital Foundry trip to Xbox Studios revealed the Xbox One X has already crushed the PS4 Pro’s power.

Xbox One XThe updated console will a consistent frame-rate, faster load times, no screen tearing, improved texture filtering, which will make everything look much smoother and cleaner and 4K support is a added bonus to it.

Games To Come With Xbox One X

During the Xbox One X reveal, few titles are also released which will come to the new console, including Forza Motorsport 7, Metro Exodus, Assassin Creed Origins and BioWare’s Answer to Destiny: A New IP Called Anthem.

In addition to that, there was also a presentation of PlayUnknown’s Battlegrounds (exclusive to Xbox), Deep Rock Galactic, State of Decay 2, The Darwin Project, Minecraft (now with cross-console play), Black Desert the MMORPG, The Artful Escape, CodeVein, Sea of Thieves, Tacoma, The Last Night, Super Lucky’s Tale, Cuphead, and Crackdown 3

Backward Compatibility

Microsoft has also announced that they’re essentially expanding their Backward compatibility program, dubbed as Xbox One X Enhanced. The Xbox One X will let you play games from the original Xbox’s era, but will only provide 4K updates for certain titles (for free). These games include Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct, Halo Wars 2, and Minecraft.
