Google has announced that it will launch a version of Google Chrome in early 2018 which will block annoying ads automatically. Google’s new ad-filtering technology (outlined by Coalition for Better Ads) will define “annoying” ads.

Google Chrome Will Block Annoying Ads
Reports suggest that Google is building an ad-blocking version of Chrome, which will adversely help consumer/users. This is pretty surprising from the company which makes over $20 billion each quarter from advertising alone.
Publishers will have check whether their ads violate Google’s new standards with Ad Experience Report. The Coalition for Better Ads has generated its initial Better Ads Standards after surveying 25,000 internet users across Noth America and Europe.

Chrome users are about to see a lot fewer pop-ups and auto-playing audio spots as Google will start pushing the Better Ads Standards in early 2018.
Google SVP of ads and commerce Sridhar Ramaswamy said;
These frustrating experiences can lead some people to block all ads — taking a big toll on the content creators, journalists, web developers and videographers who depend on ads to fund their content creation.
