Xbox Project Scorpio; Microsoft Revealed Specs Of New 4K Console

After a few leaks, Microsoft has officially revealed details of its Xbox Project Scorpio. Yes, the next generation ‘Project Scorpio’ will be capable of playing games in 4K.


Xbox Project Scorpio is speculated to have VR compatibility and apparently, and it will be “most powerful console” available. Eurogamer and many other listed full specs of the upcoming gaming console.

The Xbox Project Scorpio will run at 6 teraflops of graphical power, which is way more than Sony Playstation 4 Pro. So, as it runs on teraflops, it can run games at higher resolutions with better framerates. It will also have CPU featuring eight custom x86 cores, clocked at 2.3GHz.

In addition to that, It has a custom GPU which is clocked at 1172MHz, which is way higher than the Xbox One’s 853MHz and PS4 Pro’s 911MHz. It also has more onboard cores, the x86 cores will come with 31 percent faster than the older Xbox One’s.

The 6 teraflops of graphical power will be paired with 12GB of RAM, which gives out 326GB/s of bandwidth. It will come with a 1TB hard drive, which is similar to what PS4 Pro and other Xbox One models come with.

The Project Scorpio console will be based on the Xbox One S, which means that it does not have a dedicated Kinect port but HDMI port. The report says that Project Scorpio will be revealed at E3 conference later this year.
