How To Find Your Router IP Address In Windows Using CMD
There’s another way of finding your IP address, and that is via the command line. Here’s how;
- Click on the Start button.
2. Type cmd in the search box and hit enter.
3. In the terminal, type the command given below and hit enter.
ipconfig
4. If you are connected to the internet via ethernet, the Default Gateway Mask will be shown under “Ethernet adapter Ethernet.”
5. If you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Default Gateway Mask will be displayed under the “Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi” section.
In both the addresses, the “IPV4” address represents the IP address of the device that is connected to the Router.

How To Find Your Router IP Address In MacOS
The procedure is pretty nimble on macOS. All you need to do is;
- Click on the Wireless icon and click on “Open Network Preferences.”
2. A new window showing the network status will open. Click on the medium by which you’re connected to the internet and find the “Advanced” option.
3. Click on the TCP/IP tab. This will display not only your Router’s IP address but also the IPv4 address, which is your computer’s unique IP address to the Router.
Here the IP address of your Router is 10.0.1.1 and the unique IP address of your computer is 10.0.1.4.
