Microsoft unveiled detailed specifications of its upcoming next-generation console – Xbox Series X ahead of the launch later this year. This announcement came as a surprise to everyone, which was complemented with exceptional hardware selection, marking a huge leap from the previous generation.
Microsoft Xbox Series X Specifications Revealed
Microsoft designed the Xbox Series X with a more PC-like tower design i.e it comes with a single-designed fan blowing air through the system and a massive vapor chamber to cool the chipset/SoC.
Speaking of the chipset, the Series X is powered by an 8-core AMD processor that is custom designed based on Zen 2 architecture that can clock up to 3.8GHz. As far as the GPU goes, it will sport an AMD RDNA 2 GPU that has 52 compute units running at a frequency of 1.825GHz. All these are paired with 16GB GDDR6 memory, coupled with 1TB Custom NVME SSD.
This enhanced internals brings in a hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytraced visuals, better backward compatibility, 4K 60fps gaming or 1080p 120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which are enabled by HDMI 2.1.

Microsoft Xbox Series X: Pricing
Microsoft didn’t reveal is the pricing of the Series X. But with the powerful internals and significant design changes, expect a huge jump in price when compared to the previous generation. The Microsoft Series X will be released in the Holiday of 2020.
