Lisiting of Nexus devices with Android 7.1 Nougat is pretty much what we expected. But few weeks ago, Google displayed their first ever (self-made) phones, Pixel and Pixel XL. Both the devices is running on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. There wasn’t much talked about Android 7.1 Nougat.

Surprising was addition of 2 old Nexus devices i.e Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Well, there is still an hope that Nexus devices are meant to get updated to latest Android OS.

What Comes With New Android 7.1 Nougat?
- Android 7.1 Nougat helps the developer with an API, which let them develop surface important actions just like Apple 3D Touch.
- Apparently, Google is going with circular app icons, so that developer can match it up with Pixel launcher.
- Android 7.1 Nougat will bring Daydream VR support and seamless updates (Google Spoke out)
- Keyboards will supposedly get image support, stickers (of course) and animated GIFs straight from keyboard.
How You Can Get Android 7.1 Nougat Now (beta though)
Android 7.1 Nougat Developer Preview is expected to come by the end of this month (October 2016). Final release is expected somewhere around December. If you want to receive Developer Preview for your device, then make sure that it is enrolled to Android Beta Program.
