Reliance Jio introduced the JioPhone 2, the heir of last year’s JioPhone last month. The main highlight of this phone is its QWERTY keyboard and 4G VoLTE support. The company said that the phone will go on sale via flash sale on August 16, 12 PM on Jio.com.

JioPhone 2: A Budget End Killer!
The JioPhone 2 comes with pretty much the same specs as the JioPhone, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 512MB RAM, 4GB expandable storage, runs on KaiOS and backed by a 2000mAh battery. This new iteration of JioPhone comes with Dual SIM support, unlike its predecessor.
The JioPhone 2 sports 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera. Apart from that, it has cat.4 LTE support with download speeds of up to 150Mbps with support both LTE (Band 3,5,40) and 2G (900/1800).

Jio has recently launched Google Maps for the smartphone and it is said to release Facebook and YouTube. However, WhatsApp shows no sign of availability.

The JioPhone 2 is priced at Rs 2,999. The company has recently launched Monsoon Hungama Offer that will get any feature phone user, the first-gen JioPhone for Rs 501, just by exchanging the existing feature phone.
