Xiaomi Mi Band 3 With Curved OLED Display, 20+ Days Battery Life Launched

Along with Mi 8, Xiaomi has launched Mi Band 3 fitness band at an event in China. The Band 3 is a successor to the Mi Band 2 which was launched in 2016 and was apparently the best-selling fitness tracker globally.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3

The Mi Band 3 has quite a few advancements in hardware as well as in software. The first thing you will notice is its larger OLED display with curved edges and an indented circular home button. Unlike the older iterations, the band 3 supports various gesture actions to help users navigate easily.

Xiaomi claimed that the Mi Band 3 can deliver up to 20 days of battery life, which is pretty good considering that I’m currently using Huami Amazfit Arc which barely gives out 15 days of battery life and (of course) costs more. Apart from that, it sports a wide range of sensor which includes sleep tracking, step counting, heart rate monitoring and much more.

Furthermore, it can now resist up to 50 meters of water. The bands come in three color hues namely red, Black and Navy Blue. The Mi Band 3 is priced at 169 Yuan (roughly Rs 1,785 / US$ 26). It will be available in China and is expected to make its way to the other markets soon.
