Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 638 Powered Smartphone Codenamed Valentino Surfaced

It’s just been few months Xiaomi has become the first smartphone manufacturer to launch a device powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor – Redmi Note 5. Now, Xiaomi is reportedly working on a smartphone that is powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming yet announced chipset – Snapdragon 638.

Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 638 Powered Smartphone

The Chinese company is reportedly working on a smartphone codenamed “Valentino”, which has surfaced on a benchmarking website Geekbench. The phone’s listing on Geekbench reveals that the device is powered by Snapdragon 638 processor, clocked at 1.44GHz and has octa-core CPU.

Furthermore, the device packs a 6GB RAM and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, and has managed to score 1485 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 5440 points in multi-core test. The chipset is expected to come equipped with Adreno 509 or higher.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi is all set to launch its new Redmi S-series smartphone – Redmi S2 on 10th May. There is no much we know about Valentino. We have to wait until anything goes official. Stay tuned, we might see some leaks in the coming days.
