Google Is Bringing AMP To Gmail To Make Emails More Interactive

Google is bringing AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) into Gmail. This has two-fold benefits, firstly this will help developers create emails which are more interactive and engaging, and secondly the end-user can explore the entire content within the email body itself.

Bringing AMP To Gmail

Integrated AMP will help users interact with the content and explore it more briskly without even leaving the inbox. AMP will provide developers with a wide range of possibilities as a new platform to develop and integrate new interactive content within the email.

Well, AMP acts as a widget using which a user can browse content, verify accounts, fill online forms and get more details about a particular piece of content. AMP for Gmail will help developers create more actionable email experience.

What’s With Bringing AMP To Gmail?

As AMP is an open-source platform so developers can utilize it to its full potential and moreover, AMP ensures that the content stays up-to-date and the content accurately conveys right information when a user stares at it.

Furthermore, AMP for email also ensures that a webpage loads faster and consumes less amount of data as compared to the parent website. Google has also ensured that AMP is secure and doesn’t collect personal data within the AMP webpage.

Currently, the feature is still in testing and development phase and available only for developers and this will start rolling out by the end of 2018.
