Google Lens In Assistant Is Rolling Out To Pixel Smartphones

Google today announced that; Google Lens, its AI Lens tool is being rolled out for Google Assistant in Pixel and Pixel 2 smartphones in the coming weeks as a part of an update to its Assistant.

Google has debuted the Google Lens feature back at the Pixel launch event (in October). This feature uses the camera to scan the objects, phone numbers, email address and landmarks in the photos to provide more information about the same.

The Lens can also scan barcodes and recognize video games, movies, books and so on. Lens was made available with Google Photos last month as part of the Pixel 2 launch, Google said that is would gradually roll out this in Assistant and the time has come.

So, Google Lens will soon arrive as a built-in feature of Google Assistant starting in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, and Singapore in the coming weeks, the company announced today in a blog post.
