Xiaomi along with Redmi Y1, also launched the cheaper end version: Redmi Y1 Lite at an event in India. This is rebranded version of Redmi 5A that was introduced in China in August.

Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite
The Y1 Lite packs in a 5.5-inch HD screen, which is powered by Snapdragon 425 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM, paired with 16GB expandable storage, runs on Android Nougat and all these are backed by a 3080mAh battery.
The Lite version sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash with PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. It features a dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots, but at the downside though, it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.
