Android Oreo Is Now On 0.2% Of Devices, Nougat Hits 17.8%

Google has released the Android distribution chart for the month of October. Android Oreo, that was released just over a month ago has entered into the chart with 0.2% of all the devices.

Android Oreo Adoption Chart

Google has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo to Nexus and Pixel devices in late August which apparently brought up the adoption rate. Meanwhile, Android Nougat adoption has increased 2% to 17.8% this month.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow continues to have the largest percentage, which is at 32%, down from 32.2% since last month. Android 5.0 Lollipop is at 27.7% from 28.%, while KitKat has also decreased to 14.5% from 15.1%.

Going down, Jelly Bean is down just a but from 6.9% to 6.6% and Gingerbread and Ice cream sandwich still remain unchanged at 0.6%. The data was collected during a seven-day period ending on October 2, 2017.
