Reliance JioFibre To Offer 100GB Data For Rs 500 In 100 Cities; Report

Reliance Jio is reportedly ready to launch the broadband service; Reliance JioFibre by this Diwali (i.e by October). The service will operational in 100 cities and will offer 100GB of data at just Rs 500. This could bring a revolution in the broadband sector.

Reliance JioFibre To Offer 100GB Data For Rs 500

Back in September, Reliance Jio Chairman Mukesh Ambani spoke about company’s intentions to offer fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service, which could offer broadband speed up to 1Gbps. The company is also allowing subscribers a WiFi router at an affordable refundable deposit.

The JioFibre is currently being rolled out in 10 cities, which includes metro cities and Delhi’s NCR regions of Noida and Gurgaon. According to ET, Reliance Jio is looking for mega clusters high-rise apartments and commercial establishments as a part of its Phase-II expansion.

Reliance JioFibre has piloted in Mumbai city with an introductory offer; giving users three months of free unlimited high-speed internet access. However, a one-time cost of Rs 4,500 is levied for installation and the router.
