Apple Is Reportedly Planning To Discontinue The iPad Mini Lineup; Report

Apple is expected to phase out the iPad Mini lineup. The company will unveil a new iPad but will not refresh the iPad Mini anymore. Though Apple is still offering the iPad mini 4 with 128GB for $399 (roughly Rs. 25,500), while the LTE variant is up for grabs for $529 (roughly Rs. 33,900).

Apple Discontinuing iPad Mini Lineup

Debuted in 2012, iPad Mini was a welcome alternative to the much larger, thicker, and heavier 9.7-inch iPad. The move to 7.9-inch iPad Mini, Apple has failed to impress users, which lead to declining sales.

Earlier in March, the Cupertino giant announced that it has discontinued older versions of the iPad Mini, there were no additional details added. Meanwhile, demand for larger iPads has been decent and apparently, Apple want’s to focus on them.

Apple is expected to release three new iPad models in the second quarter. Some analyst claims that Apple will launch an updated version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, while also introducing a new iPad Pro model with a new design featuring narrow bezels and a screen size between 10 and 10.5 inches.
