UberEATS Food Delivery Service To Launch In India On May 2

UberEATS launched in the US last year after hovering its service in Los Angeles back in 2014. It is a standalone food delivery app. Well, Uber is set to launch UberEats in India. It has already shared its intentions at the beginning of this year itself. Now, it’s here.

UberEATS In India

Uber shared invite for an event on May 2nd, where it will launch the service. The invite says, “Psst! Something is cooking! Get ready for a lip-smacking time”, also shares the date and time, but no other details.

Much like any other food delivery services, Restaurants can get into the Uber delivery network to expand their market reach and hit more people. It is expected to come in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai soon (as these are the potential markets).

UberEATS Competitors!

Ola was also in this business with OlaCafé, but after meeting failed expectations and vertical faced stiff competition, Ola had to shut down its OlaCafé service. Online food delivery service is getting crowded in India. And according to a report from RedSeer (research firm), India’s internet kitchen grew at 150 percent in 2016 with an estimated GMV of USD 300 million.

Services like FoodPanda, Swiggy, Zomato, Grubhub and so on has already got the potential market and gained customers trust as well. Well, we Indians can easily digest UberEATS (especially when provided with good service and amazing offers).
