After few leaks and teasers, Samsung has finally unveiled it’s Exynos 9 Series 8895 built on the World’s First 10nm FinFET Process Technology. The chip promises up to 27% higher performance and 40% lower power consumption than a 14nm chip.
The chipset features an octa-core CPU with the Samsung’s second generation custom designed CPU cores for improved performance and power efficiency in addition to four Cortex-A53 cores, paired with Mali-G71 GPU, for smooth VR experience.

Samsung Exynos 9
Samsung Exynos 9 has also kept the level with its other competitor by offering a Gigabit LTE modem (1Gbps down and 150Mbps up), built-in security module which will work with fingerprint and even with iris scanners for secure payment.
Much like rumored the Mali-G71 GPU has kept the VR game on, especially by minimizing latency for 4K UHD VR and gaming experience. The non-interactive VR is helped by the video decoder for enhancing 360-degree videos.

Additional Features
Some features of Samsung’s latest chipset is that it can record and playback in 4K @ 120fps. There is a added Vision Processing Unit too, which apparently can track the moving objects in the video and can also help in taking and processing panorama pictures and machine vision.
Samsung has a lot of things around about their flagship smartphone and with Exynos 9, not only the smartphones even the automotive infotainment systems is also going to brighten up. To make a perspective, Audi has already signed up to use Exynos chips in its cars. The Exynos 9 Series 8895 is currently in mass production.
