Apple Adds New Lineup Of RED Branded Products For World AIDS Day

Ten years ago, Apple has partnered with RED products to offer a limited edition of Apple products that raise awareness of AIDS. Now in 2016 almost a decade later, to acknowledge World AIDS Day (December 1), Apple has announced RED branded gadgets and games in its App store.

Tim Cook, CEO, Apple said;

Thanks to the vision and dedication of (RED), an AIDS-free generation is within our reach. We want to leave the world better than we found it, and that’s why our longtime partnership with (RED) remains so important to us.

What Does Apple Add As RED Products?

Apple added few new products or gadgets in the lineup, which includes iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case, iPhone SE Case, Beats Solo 3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones and the Beats Pill + Portable Speaker. All these products will be available starting from today.

Apart from hardware, Apple has also added software font which includes customers to buy special RED in-app purchases which include 20 popular iOS games like Angry Bird 2, Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Clash of Clans and so on.

How Can You Support The Fight?

Apple is actively participating the fight against AIDS, you can also contribute the cause either by buying the above mentioned or you can directly donate through iTunes or you could purchase the albums from The Killer, Don’t Waste Your Wishes.

All the donated amount (100%) will be going to Global Fund, a partnership that aims to kill AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Adding to this the company said that more than 400 Apple stores across the globe will turn their logos red to raise the awareness of AIDS (World AIDS Day).


Apple’s Donation

Starting from today till December 6, Apple will donate $1 (up to $1 million) for every purchase made with Apple Pay at any Apple Store, on their website (Apple.com) or even through Apple App Store. And moreover, Bank of America will also make a donation (up to a total of $1 million) for every Apple Pay transaction using its cards.
