Acer Extensa 15: Overview
One can call the Extensa 15 a fine-tuned version of laptops that were launched in late 2018. The laptop looks similar to the glossy HP laptops that were sold in late 2018. With a thickness of “just” 19.9mm and a weight of 1.9KG, Acer calls it a “Thin and Light” offering solely aimed at business individuals who run small to medium businesses.
The laptop comes with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i3 and i5 processors but, the model of the same wasn’t shared with us; hence, if we had to guess since it’s a budget offering, the Extensa should be powered by a 10110U, which is a battery efficient mobile processor from Intel.
The screen is 15.6-inch and the laptop comes in two models with two different resolutions and panels. One features an IPS LED FHD+ display while the other comes with an HD TN display panel, both of which are anti-glare.

There are two speakers at the bottom and a webcam on the bezel which comes with an integrated mic. On the connectivity side, we get to see Wi-Fi 5 with two antennas. Since this is a business-focused laptop, Acer hasn’t compromised on ports. We get a Gigabit Lan, 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 1, and 2 x USB 2.0 ports. There’s also an HDMI port and the laptop doesn’t come with a Type-C port that we’re used to seeing in a lot of laptops today.
