Team Red fans can rejoice as it is powered by a Ryzen 3 3200U processor with Radeon 3 Graphics. The performance of 3200U is better than team blue’s i5 8265U due to the better GPU, and more L2 and L3 Cache. The laptop has a TN Panel, which is rather unimpressive but, you cannot expect a laptop with an IPS display under Rs. 30000.
It has a Full-HD display, 4GB RAM (expandable up to 12GB), 256GB SSD, and 6 hours of battery life. Overall, for an asking price of Rs. 28000, the HP 15s is one of the best laptops under Rs 30000.
Lenovo Ideapad 330
Lenovo is known to offer value for money consumer electronics, and the Ideapad 330 is no exception. The laptop’s powered by a Ryzen 5 2500U, which is slower than the Ryzen 3 3200U but is better than i5 8250U. The display is 15.6-inch with Full-HD resolution, and it is a TN panel. It’s got Radeon Vega 8 graphics, which is better than integrated Intel UHD graphics any day.
The laptop comes with Windows 10 pre-installed, has Dolby Audio for ‘better’ sound quality. On the storage side of things, it’s got 1TB HDD coupled with 4GB of RAM, which is expandable up to 8GB. Overall, for a price of Rs. 29,999, it is one of the best laptops under Rs 30000.
ASUS VivoBook X505ZA
The Lenovo Ideapad 330 is an excellent alternative to the ASUS VivoBook X505ZA. Well, it’s the other way around. The laptop’s powered by Ryzen 5 2500U, comes with 4GB RAM (expandable up to 16GB) and has 1TB HDD.

Acer Aspire 3
Acer is the Xiaomi of laptops. Great specs at an affordable price are what Acer aims for. We’ve already compiled a list of 7 best laptops under Rs 50000 in India in which [Spoiler Alert!] Acer Swift 3 came out at the top. The Acer Aspire 3 is yet another great offering from Acer and here’s why
Apart from the bad build quality, a combo of Ryzen 5 2500U and 4GB RAM means the performance should be enough to be able to browse, watch videos, and edit documents. Add another 4GB RAM stick, and you will be able to play games thanks to the integrated Radeon Vega 8 GPU.
The screen is of Full-HD resolution and is again a TN panel but, it’s something that you have to live with if your budget is less. Overall, it is one of the best laptops under Rs 30000 that you can buy.
Dell Inspiron 14 3841
Dell has been in the Indian market for quite a long time now. With its then-popular Latitude series, it managed to capture the Indian markets until other contenders like HP and Lenovo came into existence.
The Inspiron 3841 is powered by an i3 7100u, which is not as powerful as Ryzen 3 3200U but should be sufficient for watching movies and editing documents. The laptop has 4GB (expandable up to 12GB) of RAM and a 1TB HDD. There’s no dedicated GPU, and the laptop uses integrated UHD 620 graphics from Intel.
What’s worse is the HD (1366×728) TN display. The quality of the display is going to be less than average for an asking price of Rs. 25,000 (Rs. 20,000 during sales), it is a good laptop if you are getting started with your laptop journey. We suggest you buy it only if it’s available for Rs. 20,000 or else; there are better options out there.
Conclusion
There were a lot of laptops in the sub Rs 30,000 segment, but the laptops mentioned above are far better than what you’ll find online. You can also find laptops powered by Intel Core i3 processors but, we thought of excluding them as the performance on an i3 7th Gen or 8th Gen processor is nowhere near to Ryzen 3 3200U or Ryzen 5 2500U and the laptop powered by an i3 processor will struggle to do basic tasks in the long run.
The display panel is one of the critical things to consider which buying a laptop. All the laptops mentioned above sport a TN panel that offers below-average color reproduction.
