Google Pixel: Specs, Pros, Cons, Pricing & Difference – Explained!

Google Pixel Phones are officially out. Google has released their first ever phone and it’s not surprising to see the naming as “Pixel”.

Don’t take a wrong way, Google will still continue making Nexus with collabing with other manufactures (OEM’s). This launch has a lot to say about Google’s development in hardware phase. Google has release a lot of things we expected such has, Pixel Phones, Daydream VR, Google Home and So on.

  • No Wireless Charging Support
  • No Stereo Speakers
  • No 64GB Variant
  • Pricing is on a Higher Side

What’s the difference between Pixel and Pixel XL?

Well, there is not much of a difference between them. Here are three major difference;

► DisplayGoogle Pixel

Both the phones has great display. As, mentioned above in specs, both has AMOLED display. But there is a minor quality difference, As Google Pixel has 5.0-inch, 1080×1920 pixels with 441 ppi and Pixel XL has 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) with 536 ppi. So, expect a slight enhanced display in Pixel XL.

► BatteryGoogle Pixel

Google Pixel Phones packs a very decent amount of battery. So, as mentioned above, battery in both differ a lot, which is not at all surprising as QHD panels take a lot of battery. Pixel has 2,770 mAh and Pixel pixel packs 3,450 mAh.

► Pricing (Pretty Obvious) Google Pixel

No rocket science, with quality and higher specs comes higher pricing. So, Pixel XL has priced at $769 (₹67K, £719, AU$1,269) for 32GB variant and $869 (₹76K, £819, AU$1,419) for 128GB variant. Same goes to Pixel, it is priced at $649 (₹57K) for the 32GB variant and $10 more i.e $749 (₹66K) for 128GB variant.
