Xiaomi has announced its flagship smartphone, Redmi K30 Pro, today in China. And like any other Xiaomi flagship, it has sparked interest in tech enthusiasts around the globe. This smartphone is the successor to the recently launched Redmi K30.
Redmi K30 Pro: The Successor!
The device is powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 865. It sports an AMOLED display, which is capped at 60Hz (yes!) with 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and supports 5G out of the box. There is also a liquid cooling chamber, Game Turbo 3.0, and a 4D vibration motor for a good gaming experience.
The device is TÜV Rheinland certified, which helps in high-performance gaming. It runs Android 10 on top of MIUI 11, has a 3D glass back, which is covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, NFC, and Hi-Res audio support.
The camera is a 64MP Sony IMX686, which is a 1/1.7″ sensor. The camera supports four-axis OIS. The HIEF format is supported, and it also comes with an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 3x optical and 30x digital zoom, 5MP telephoto lens, which is the first true telephoto macro lens and a 13-megapixel which supports 123° ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 12-megapixel pop-up front camera for selfies.
The Redmi K30 Pro is equipped with a “Super Bluetooth Chip” with Bluetooth 5.1. Xiaomi claims that this can help in expanding the Bluetooth range up to 400 Meters and lower latency. The smartphone is also equipped with a bigger 4700 mAh and has support for 33W fast charging using which the phone can be charged from 0-100% in just 63 minutes, which is impressive.
Apart from the normal one, there is one more model that Xiaomi’s calling “The Zoom Edition,” which supports 30x zoom via the telephoto lens. The standard edition has a 50mm telephoto lens for portrait and macro.

The phone is priced aggressively. As far as the price to performance/feature ratio is concerned, this phone nails it in every aspect. With Realme coming up with NARZO and C*********s tensions building up, it will be interesting to see how both the brands price their models in India.
