Huawei recently introduced its new mid-range processor Huawei Kirin 710. This processor powers Huawei’s new mid-range smartphone the Huawei Nova 3i. Well, most mid-range smartphones in the similar price range are powered by the popular MediaTek Helio P60. So here’s a detailed comparison between both these processors i.e. Huawei Kirin 710 Vs MediaTek Helio P60.

Huawei Kirin 710 Vs MediaTek Helio P60: Processing Power
The Huawei Kirin 710 offers four ARM Cortex-A73 bigger cores clocked at 2.2GHz and the other four smaller ARM Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.7GHz. On the other hand, MediaTek Helio P60 offers four ARM Cortex A53 cores, and four ARM Cortex A73 clocked at 2.0Ghz. As far as processing power is concerned it is difficult to notice any difference between both these processors. They have nearly the same configuration.
Huawei Kirin 710 comes with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. While the MediaTek Helio P60 offers Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It is worth noting that Huawei Kirin 710 will offer a better gaming and graphics performance due to the inclusion of GPU Turbo technology.

Huawei Kirin 710 Vs MediaTek Helio P60: Display And Connectivity
Another major factor that differentiates these processors are the maximum display resolution they support theoretically. The Huawei Kirin 710 supports a Full HD+ with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. For connectivity, the Huawei Kirin 710 offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS.
MediaTek Helio P60 supports up to FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and LTE Cat.7.

Huawei Kirin 710 Vs MediaTek Helio P60: Camera
Huawei Kirin 710 presently supports a 16P and 2MP dual camera configuration. On the other hand, Helio P60 can hold up to 32 MP single camera sensor or a dual camera setup of 16MP + 24 MP. The Helio P60 uses tri-core ISP for better efficiency. Consequently, the camera performance would be much better on Mediatek Helio P60.
As a conclusion, the Huawei Kirin 710 and MediaTek Helio P60 have nearly the same performance but the MediaTek Helio P60 lacks behind in terms of gaming performance. The MediaTek Helio P60 is more power efficient and offers better camera performance if it’s paired with suitable sensors.
