Huawei Kirin 710 12nm Octa-Core SoC With Mali-G51 GPU, Dual 4G VoLTE Announced

With the launch of Huawei Nova 3i, the company has also introduced its new processor; Huawei Kirin 710. This new chipset is mainly focused on AI cameras/photos and immersive gaming experience with independent ISP and DSP.

Huawei Kirin 710 SoC: A New Iteration!

Huawei‘s new chipset uses 12nm processor technology which is first in the Kirin series. It has four ARM Cortex-A73 bigger cores clocked at 2.2GHz and the other four smaller ARM Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1.7GHz. It has ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU for graphics processing.

According to the company, the Kirin 710 offers 75% better single-core scores and 68% better multi-core scores compared to Kirin 659. Furthermore, the Mali-G51 MP4 GPU promises to give out 1.3 times better performance compared to Mali-T830 MP2 GPU, which is used in Kirin 659.

The chipset offers a Cat 12/13 speeds of up to 300Mbps down/150Mbps and comes with Dual SIM, Dual VoLTE support to use 4G and VoLTE on both the SIMs at the same time and can switch them as well (easily).

Well, the Kirin 710 SoC will roll out starting with the Huawei Nova 3i, which is reported to launch next week in India alongside Nova 3. Both the smartphones are focused on the mid-range market.
