Well, Google is rolling out a new update that will help users to access messages on a Web browser using any computer. So here’s everything you need to know about the new updates in Android Messages.

The updates to Android messages are still being rolled out and not yet available for all users. Consequently, don’t panic if you are unable to access the new features. So here’s a detailed procedure on how to access Android Messages on a computer

  1. Install or update the Android Messages application from the play store.
  2. Follow the on-screen instruction and setup your Android Messages account.
  3. Next up using your web browser of choice, head-on to the Messages for Web website from your computer. You will find a unique QR Code there.
  4. Tap on the 3-dots menu and select “Messages from Web”. The application will automatically open your phone’s camera and start scanning. Point your smartphone’s camera towards the QR code and that’s it, your smartphone is now connected to your computer.

Android Messages: New Features

Google is definitely planning to compete with iMessage and provide users a unified experience to use the same set of applications on their smartphone and computers. The new Android Messages application supports sharing audio messages, emoji, stickers, or your location. Lastly, since its a web-based application on computers, you can use Android Messages on a MAC as well.
