New Google Tool Will Stop Annoying Ads From Following You Around

Google is all set to roll out a new; Google Tool that will stop reminder ads from following you on the internet. These ads were typically used get users to come back after virtual window shopping.

The new tool will allow users to “mute” reminder ads currently tracked to your profile from one of the over 2million sites that use Google’s advertising services. Google gives users the liberty to choose to mute individual reminder ads and view those that they’ve already mute with their Google Ads settings.

In addition to that, users can click the “X” next to the companies that they no longer want to see ads from. Do note, muting any company will last for 90 days. Not to forget, muting only affects sites and services using Google ad platform. There are several other ads services out there, which provide reminder ads. So, you might still tackle irritating ads.

In extension to that, when a user mutes an ad they don’t like on one device, the preference will not be carried over to other logged in (particular user) devices, that being the downside. Well, the company is said to expand this tool to control ads on YouTube, Search, and Gmail in the coming months.
