Google Pixel 2 FCC Filing Confirms Active Edge Display Made By HTC

Google‘s next-gen Pixel 2 has been certified by the FCC. Well, the Google Pixel 2 FCC filing confirms HTC as the manufacturer of the phone. It has a model number NM8G011A and also reveals persistent search bar on the top of the settings replacing the search icon.

The filing reveals that out of the box Google Pixel 2 comes with 64GB storage, it has 50.66 GB free and it runs on Android 8.0.1. In addition to that, the second image shows Active Edge Display (which is what HTC U11 has), under the languages, input, and gestures.

Coming to the leaked specifications; Google Pixel 2 will feature a 4.97-inch 1080p display, powered by Snapdragon 835 or 836 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The certification confirms “8998” in the baseband, although FCC didn’t reveal any image of the phone.

The earlier leaked live images of the phone already confirmed; no 3.5mm standard audio jack, front-facing stereo speakers and single rear camera. There will be a lot for leaks prior the announcement which is expected sometime in early October.
