YouTube Go Beta Version Finally Releases On Play Store In India

YouTube Go beta version finally releases in India and other markets to follow. Well, Google parent company Alphabet Inc. announced back in December that it would roll out a mobile YouTube application designed for India.


Google has been conducting extensive tests in India for the app to function well, especially with the Internet conditions. This app lets you save videos to watch offline, monitor the data usage and lets you share the video with your friend.

YouTube team has been testing the app with a lot of beta users, the team had contemplated showing users a series of images from a video with the audio, like a slideshow for the users having lower internet speed, but Indian consumers reacted poorly to the feature.

The Silicon Valley giant has regarded India as the prime place to test products for emerging market. The app will help users discover videos that trending in their region while minimizing data usage. Users can preview videos before watching to ensure that is what they want.

Company Executives said;

A beta version of the app has been released in the Google Play Store in India, and will be released in other emerging markets later. The only future of YouTube Go is for feature phones or basic phones.
