Facebook Is Experimenting A Second Screen For News Feed

Apparently, Facebook is testing a new secondary News Feed in its beta version of the app on Android. Well, it is reported that some users have noticed a similar feature being tested on iOS in early January.

Facebook has been doing a lot reformation. In the latest beta update, the current version of the News Feed remains as the “Home” tab but with an addition of new “Explore” tab.

Facebook Explore Tab

So, much like the current version of the News Feed, but with a slight change. “Explore” tab is a combination of photos, videos, and articles that are tailored to user’s interest. This tab will also show the pages you have not liked or followed, this is very similar to Instagram’s Search and Explore tab.

The Explore tab will be filled with pages closely related to those you have already like, which will include news, videos, articles and so on. Addition to that you can also see how many of your friends have actually watched a particular video.

In-Addition!

The Explore tab seems way engaging when compared to the old News Feed. The tab is so aligned that it feels like Facebook is continually pushing us to with more video. There is also an inclusion of recommendations for you.

This tab very much looks like Twitter and not to forget this feature will soon get into both Android as well as iOS. You can wait patiently or you can get into Facebook’s beta program and can taste what is getting cooked before it goes in public.
