OnePlus 3T Vs OnePlus 3, perfect things to compare. After a long tail of teasers, leaks, and rumors, the OnePlus 3T has finally been made official by the company today.
Design;
Aesthetically there is not much of change. OnePlus 3T looks the same way as the OnePlus 3 looks but there is a new inclusion of color which is called “Gunmetal”, which looks a lot similar to what we call space gray.

The old OnePlus’s Graphite color is replaced by Gunmetal, while the soft gold option remains.
Display;
The OnePlus doesn’t have the best display on the market and to some extent it has changed on the OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus 3 had some issue with display (inaccurate colors), which was sorted out with a firmware update.
Performance;
OnePlus 3T with updated specs has the improved performance thanks to the Snapdragon 821 chipset inside.

- OnePlus 3T – Qualcomm Snapdragon 821: Quad-core Kryo CPU, Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB RAM
On paper, this doesn’t look like a major change but performance and efficiency of the device have drastically improved with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. Snapdragon 821 uses less power to preserve battery life and specific optimization for the traditional Android weak points like web browsing scrolling.
Camera;
OnePlus has managed to level up the camera game. OnPlus 3T comes with 16MP rear shooter with Sony IMX 398 image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and 4K video recording.
The front-facing selfie shooter comes with again 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities. Basically, OnePlus has jumped the camera game with the front facing 8MP camera to 16MP. OnePlus promises a major advantage in image quality.
Battery;
OnePlus 3T also has an improved battery and a 13% increase in battery capacity.

OnePlus 3T again comes with “Dash Charge” technology, though the Dash Charging performs really when subjected to comparison but it is incompatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge.
Storage and Pricing;
OnePlus 3T comes two different variants i.e;
- OnePlus 3 – $399 (64GB)
- OnePlus 3T – from $439 (64GB, 128GB)
Yes, OnePlus 3T is more expensive than its predecessor but the considering the improved specs, camera and battery life, it’s worth it especially with the addition of 128GB storage option for the power user.

The OnePlus 3T will go on sale in the US on November 22nd with a price of $439 (64GB) and $479 (128GB). The pricing and availability of OnePlus 3T in India are yet to confirm. But we expect it to be around INR 30,000 (64GB) and INR 33,000 (128GB).
