Xiaomi Mijia Air Quality Detector With PM2.5, CO2 Indicators Launched

Xiaomi has unveiled another smart home gadget under the Mijia brand – the Mijia Air Detector in China. This is the company’s second such air quality detector which apparently focuses on a lot more than just pollution levels.

Xiaomi Mijia Air Quality Detector

The Mijia air quality detector features a 3.97-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It supports connectivity via the USB Type-C port, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and comes with support for 5V/ 1A (5W) charging. Well, it is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 and above or iOS 9.0 and above.

This new gadget from Xiaomi offers access to vital information such as PM (Particulate Matter) 2.5 levels, CO2 levels, TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds), temperature, and humidity among other things. The air detector can also connect wirelessly to other Mi gadgets like the Mi Air Purifier, Mi Humidifier, etc. Not just that, it device also shows time, date, day, and type of weather.

The Mi Home app, on Android and iOS, can be used to view all of these indicators on a connected device as well. The Xiaomi Mijia Air Detector has been priced at 399 Yuan (~Rs. 4,200) and first went on sale in China via Xiaomi’s Youpin portal.
