Sony X700: Perfect Media Consumption Device
The Sony X700 player is capable of playing 4K Ultra HD videos via Blu-Ray disc. The media consumption device also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision that offer enhanced details, color, and brightness. That said, the above-mentioned features will be available after a firmware update. Well, an HDR10 signal contains up to 100x the brightness of a standard (SDR) signal.
Buying and storing a Blu-Ray disc is not a pleasing option for many users. So the Sony X700 supports most popular 4K streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube. Apart from that, the player also supports a majority of video and music formats like MP4, DSD, FLAC etc. Sony claims that the player can produce myriad colors, greater dynamism and sense of realism as compared to standard HD players.

The UBP-X700 Ultra HD Blu-ray Player is already available in select Sony Centers across India and is priced at Rs. 27,990. For navigation, the player has a simple user interface that makes controlling the player easier. The HDR-SDR conversion technology used in the player intelligently scales HDR’s ultra-wide brightness range into an SDR image. Furthermore, the device also supports the DTS-X support so you can get the best sound output from your speakers.
