Lenovo Z5 With Snapdragon 636, 6GB RAM, Dual Rear AI Cameras Announced

After a bunch of (fake) teasers, leaks, and rumors, Lenovo has announced – Lenovo Z5, its latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Z series’ in China. This smartphone was hyped with fake renders and specifications. Well, the main highlight of the smartphone is it’s notched display, AI camera and the fact that it falls under mid-range devices.

Lenovo Z5: The Mid-Range Clash

The Z5 packs in a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio, powered by Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform, coupled with 6GB RAM, 64GB / 128GB expandable storage, runs on Android Oreo and all these are backed by a 3300mAh battery with fast charging support.

Coming to the camera, it sports a 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture depth information in portrait shots with AI support. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front with AI beautification and face unlock.

The phone features a glass back with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection, fingerprint coating and 6 Series aluminum metal frame and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Lenovo Z5 comes in Aurora Blue, Black and Indigo Blue colors and is priced at 1299 Yuan (roughly Rs 13,625 / US$202) for the 64GB storage version in Black and 1399 Yuan (roughly Rs 14,670 / US$218) for the Aurora and Indigo Blue versions with same storage and 128GB storage version costs 1799 yuan (roughly Rs. 18,870 / US$ 280). It will be available to order in China today and goes on sale from June 12th.
