Is Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite In The Making? Specs, Features & Pricing

Samsung’s upcoming smartphone Galaxy S8 Lite is still in rumors, but the new press renders shared on Weibo gives out the best look of the phone’s design, which was intially revealed in FCC and TENAA listings shared last week.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite In The Making

According to PhoneArena and images from TENNA, the Galaxy S8 Lite looks very similar to that of Galaxy S8, with Samsung’s Infinity Display, Bixby-dedicated button and the same fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.

As this is expected to budget-end smartphone, so it differ from the original Samsung Galaxy S8. However, the display size is identical to its flagship counterpart at 5.8-inches with 2220 x 1080 pixels.

The smartphone is said to be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (out-of-the-box), a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and all these are backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Coming to the pricing and release, Samsung hasn’t confirmed the device’s existence. But according to a report, Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite will be unveiled on May 21 in China. In terms of pricing, Samsung will most likely market it around USD 450 (roughly INR 30,287) mark.
