The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 offers a pretty sleek and good looking design. The smartphone has a complete metal and glass built. One of the major highlights of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is its display. The smartphone comes with 5.99 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
On the other hand, Redmi Note 5 Pro offers a premium looking design inspired by the iPhone X. The display is much similar to the ASUS Zenfone Pro Max M1. Redmi Note 5 Pro offers a 5.99 inches display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 and 18:9 aspect ratio.

Both these smartphones are powered by the exact same 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. In simple words, you would hardly notice any difference between the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of performance.
The Max Pro M1 comes in either 64 GB, 4/6 GB or 32 GB, 3 GB storage and RAM variants. While on the Redmi Note 5 Pro you get 64GB of internal storage with 4/6 GB RAM.

Zenfone Max Pro M1 Vs Redmi Note 5 Pro: Camera And Price
The Zenfone Max Pro M1 offers a dual camera setup with a with a 13-megapixel primary Omnivision sensor (f/2.2 aperture) coupled with a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensing sensor. The front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It’s an 85.5-degree wide-angle lens.
The 6GB RAM variant of the Zenfone Max offers a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel rear and a 16-megapixel front-facing sensor. The Zenfone Max Pro is priced at Rs. 10,999, Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 14,999 based on RAM and Storage variant.

On the other hand, the redmi note 5 pro offers a Dual: 12 MP (f/2.2, 1.25 μm) + 5 MP (f/2.0, 1.12 μm). You also get most of the features that Zenfone Pro Max M1 offers. The front camera is much better than the Zenfone Pro Max M1. Well, you get a 20 MP (f/2.2, 1/2.8″, 1 μm) sensor. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is available for 13,999 or 16,999 based on RAM variant.
