Google Chrome Adds Emoji Shortcut On Mac, Windows, Chrome OS

Emojis are the modern day tool for expressing and are commonly used in conversation made on a smartphone or tablet. But now Google Chrome is working on an emoji shortcut viable to use on desktops.

Google Chrome Adds Emoji Shortcut

Chrome is making it easier to pickup Emojis by adding a shortcut to the menu that appears when you right-click in any text field on the web. The Emoji option will be the first-in-the list and opens the native emoji selector for your operating system.

The Emoji context menu read “Enables the Emoji picker item in context menus for editable text areas – Mac, Windows and Chrome OS.” So, all major operating systems will now have an easy to bring up emoji/symbols picker, which is a nifty little feature.

Do note, the feature currently is only available for developers since it still under testing. If you using the Chrome Canary channel, head to “chrome://flags/#enable-emoji-context-menu” and enable it right away. We are still weeks away from the final/stable release.
