Facebook has launched this Express WiFi program in India last year, but it required users to download an app from telecom to reconfigure their phone settings. Also, there wasn’t any way to see where the hotspots were exactly present. Well, the latest one makes the process much easier.

Express WiFi identifies places that sell connections as WiFi Zones, which users can find on a map within the application. Once connects, users can go to any website or can browse anything, unlike Facebook’s Free Basics which was heavily criticized.

Do note, this program gives Facebook a chance to bring people without internet connectivity to online without having to worry about net neutrality. The new Express WiFi is live in Indonesia with bandwidth from telecom partner D-Net, and in Kenya through Surf.
