Xiaomi has launched Redmi 5, while the Honor 7C might take some time to be introduced in the Indian market. So here’s everything you need to know about these budget smartphones.

Honor 7C Vs Redmi 5: Design And Display

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 offers somewhat exact same design language as its successor Redmi Note 5. The smartphone has a metallic back with 5.7 inches 18:9  HD+ LCD (~282 PPI) 2.5D Curved Glass Display. The display offers 72% NTSC Color Gamut and 1000:1 Contrast Ratio.

While Honor 7C offers a sleeker and well-built design. Honor 7C is also bigger in dimensions as compared to Redmi 5. The Honor 7C offers 5.99 inches 18:9 HD+ LCD (~268 PPI) 2.5D Curved Glass Display. Honor 7C is available in Black, Gold, and Blue color variants while the Redmi 5 is available in Black, Light Blue, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.

Surprisingly both these smartphones share the exact same hardware configuration. These smartphones are powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. These smartphones offer the best possible specifications according to the price range they come in.

The Honor 7C is available in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage variants while the Redmi 5 is available in 2GB RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB / 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants.

Honor 7C Vs Redmi 5: Camera And OS

Honor 7C easily outperforms the Redmi 5 with its 13MP that incorporates a LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a secondary 2 MP camera. The Honor 7C has an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. Well, the Redmi 5 offers a 12MP camera with LED Flash, 1.25μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and PDAF.

Coming to the front, you get a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. Honor 7C runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0. While the Redmi 5 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9.

Honor 7C Vs Redmi 5: Battery Life and Connectivity

The Honor 7C is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and offers support to 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Micro USB for connectivity. On the other hand, Redmi 5 is backed up by a bigger 3300mAh battery and offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Micro USB for connectivity. Both these smartphones come with a fingerprint sensor.

Honor 7C Vs Redmi 5: Price and Availability

Xiaomi Redmi 5 is priced at Rs. 7999 for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version costs Rs. 8,999 and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version cost Rs. 10,999. While Honor 7C will start at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM version while the 4GB RAM version will cost Rs 11,999.
