Before we go further, we want to let you know that, we used Xiaomi Mi A1, 10.or D, and OnePlus 5 for testing this earphone. There is not much of a difference in sound quality, the earphones remain same.
TAGG Soundgear 500: Design
The design of the earphone is not so fancy. It looks cheap, especially with the gold-coated on the outside of the ear tips. It is worth noting that, the wires on this earphones are not braided, which is a big let down, especially when other manufacturers are providing in the same price segment.
The SG-500 comes with an oblique-angled ear fitting naturally adjusts to your ear, but it doesn’t last a long if you are going for a run or even a jog, but it protects the earbuds from the sweat during the workout, thanks to the invisible nano-coating technology. Well, the cord is of 1.2 meters in length and has gold-plated 3.5mm audio jack.
TAGG Soundgear 500: Audio Quality
The SG-500 is definitely comfortable to wear. Although this earphone seals your ear canals, the noise isolation is satisfactory (that being another downside). Thanks to the dual drivers, the earphone manages to give out clean sounding vocals and background instruments however it certainly lacks bass to it.
To be specific, the lower’s and mids are good, but the highs sound lousy. It comes with an inline microphone and a single button remote for answering calls and controlling media playback. The voice quality through inline mic is pretty good in indoors and outdoors.
