Apple Wireless Charging Patent Report Ability To Prioritize Devices

Apple wireless charging (AirPower) is designed to charge iPhone, Airpods and Apple Watch simultaneously. The wireless charging accessory should on the market anytime over the next few weeks or months.

VentureBeat reported that two patents describe wireless charging filed in US Patent and Trademark Office. The patents were filed in June, though neither has been approved yet. Both patents describe wireless charging methods and have the ability to charge multiple devices at once.

In addition to that, there is an option which will let you choose which devices should charge first and under what circumstances. Apple has been looking into developing wireless charging technology for quite some time.

Noticeably, this year, Apple’s newest iPhones come with a Qi compatibility and moreover, Apple has acquired wireless charging company PowerbyProxi. Well, earlier this week, Energous announced that its wireless WattUp Mid Field charging system.

Apple’s latest patent is speculated to be connected with WattUp technology. The Cupertino giant has been suspected of working with Energous since 2014. Either way, one thing is for sure, our future is bright and wireless.
