Xiaomi Mi A1 Oreo Update Will Reportedly Enable Fast Charging

Xiaomi launched an Oreo beta program for its first Android One device Mi A1, earlier this month. Well, Xiaomi Mi A1 Oreo update brings in a lot of improvements like faster fingerprint sensor, added dual-SIM features and so on.

According to TelecomTalk, Xiaomi has been rolling out new OTA updates fixing all the major bus and until now, it has rolled three OTA beta updates and stable update rollout is not too far. Well, it is said that, as promised, Xiaomi will roll out the Oreo update within this week.

Features Included In Xiaomi Mi A1 Oreo Update

The update includes all stock Android Oreo features (obviously), redesign of settings app, Picture-in-picture mode, smart text selection. What makes the Oreo update fascinating is that the app load time has significantly increased and the animations are a lot better than that of 7.1.2 Nougat.

It is speculated that the Xiaomi Mi A1’s dual rear camera setup might get some quality improvements. Well, the major letdown of Mi A1 was the lack of fast charging support (even though it was powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC). According to some reports, Xiaomi has enabled the fast charging support in the Oreo update.

Without a doubt, Android 8.0 Oreo update on Xiaomi Mi A1 will improve the performance and will a better device. Well, there is no information on when the stable update going to roll out, but one thing for sure, it is around the corner and could be a new year gift to the Mi A1 owners.
