Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset Launched In India

Acer Windows Mixed Reality headset has got announced at an event in Bengaluru. This is the first Windows Mixed Reality headset for the Indian market, which aims to blend with both world; Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset

The headset sports two front-hinged 2.89-inch high-res LCD panels that offer a 95-degree field of view. It comes with a resolution of 1400×1440 pixels on each panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. a 13-foot cable and offers connectivity ports including an HDMI 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port.

The Taiwanese PC maker has enabled gesture, gaze, and voice features to interact with software. Notably, it also has an option to add a mouse, keyboards, and controllers. It is worth noting that, a Windows Mixed Reality-ready PC is required to use this headset, which could be a deal breaker for some.

The base model of the headset is priced at US$ 299 (roughly Rs 19,240 / EUR 254), while the higher-end variant (bundled with a pair of wireless controllers) is priced at US$ 399 (roughly Rs 27,700 / EUR 339). There is no word on Indian pricing yet from the company.
