Paytm FASTag For Toll Fee Collection Launched Across India

Paytm has rolled out; Paytm FASTag, which will enable electronic toll fee collection on highways across the country. These tags come with an RFID (radio-frequency identification technology) technology.

As the government of India has mandated the use of FASTag on every vehicle sold from 1st December. Well, with the use of Paytm FASTag, you can pass through 380 toll plazas across India covering over 55,000 km without having to stop.

These FASTag’s are linked to the registered Paytm account and will instantly and automatically deduct the toll charges from the account. The FASTag will be affixed to the vehicle’s windscreen. These tags are simple and are also reusable.

Paytm said that it is currently working with leading car companies like Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mercedes, Renault, BMW, Volkswagen, Volvo to make the FASTag available for customers. If you already own a car, you can purchase the tags on Paytm.

Paytm said that FASTag customers will get 7.5% cashback on every toll transaction. Well, the company has partnered with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and NPCI. The FASTag insurance fee and charges for cars start at Rs 200 and you can purchase your FASTag from Paytm website.
