Qualcomm Snapdragon 845: Specs Rumors And Release Date

There are a lot of rumors stating that Qualcomm‘s next mobile processor; Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is likely to be announced at this year’s Snapdragon Technology Summit in December.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Release Date

Qualcomm usually announces its next top-end mobile processor at Snapdragon Technology Summit, which will likely to power the next year’s flagship smartphones. Moreover, a poster has been leaked in Weibo which confirms the dates of the summit i.e December 4 to December 8.

Notably, Samsung is (usually) the first mobile company to get the new Snapdragon processor and moreover, the company is launching Galaxy S9 devices early 2018. So there’s a good chance the official details will be revealed at the Summit.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Rumored Specifications

The Snapdragon 845 was earlier rumored to use a 10nm FinFET process like the Snapdragon 835. However, a report from Android Headlines suggests that Qualcomm will use a 7nm manufacturing process.

Well, the change in process will increase the performance of the processor by 25-35 percent and the smaller size of the processor could help smartphones to thin and sleek, apparently making room for a bigger battery.

According to some recent rumors, the chipset will feature eight processing cores, much like Snapdragon 835 i.e four ARM Cortex-A75 cores, while the others will be Cortex-A53 cores. The graphics improvement will be because of Adreno 630.
